Part-time CTE Recruitment and Retention Specialist
The CTE Recruitment and Retention Specialist is a part-time grant-funded position that serves as the primary liaison for Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs, supporting student recruitment, transition, and retention efforts. This role focuses on engaging prospective students from area high schools, adult education, and the community to support enrollment and student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for area high schools and adult and non-traditional student populations.
- Recruit prospective students by providing information on CTE programs, admissions, enrollment, and placement testing.
- Conduct outreach presentations and assist with recruitment events such as College Nights, Spotlight Days, and New Student Orientations.
- Support student transition activities from secondary education or unemployment into CTE programs.
- Collaborate with faculty, retention staff, and the Marketing Office to promote student persistence.
- Track recruitment activities and assist with grant reporting as needed.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required; background in Marketing, Education, or related field preferred.
- Recruitment experience in a community college or educational setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage multiple priorities in a team-oriented environment.
$20/hr up to 28 hours per week.
