this is a temporary assignment at our harper woods location. This position will be crucial for the next 3-5 years, however, please be advised that there are no long-term goals past 5 years for this position at this location. Potential opportunity to move to our howell location, if interested after the 5 year lease is up in our harper woods location.
primary job function
:
supervise, instruct and motivate the team to meet or exceed departmental goals and objectives. Know and apply broad knowledge of principles and practices of a field or specialization. May supervise/lead one or more functional areas. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.
pay range
:
the pay range for this position is $80,000-$100,000 yearly.
key areas of responsibility- administer company policies, procedures, and practices in a consistent manner.
- using core values, the facilitator should initiate coaching and problem-solving activities that will maintain a productive relationship with associates.
- remain accessible to associates the majority of the time and respond to associates concerns, complaints, problems, suggestions, etc. And provide information, answers and assistance in a reasonable time period.
- using leadership and motivational techniques, maintain a productive and satisfied department work group.
- selection, training and development of associates/team through the use of skill assessment and coordination of training resources.
- plan and execute daily activities according to departmental production requirements in order to meet departmental goals.
- manage efficient utilization of manpower, equipment and materials to promote/improve safety, housekeeping, quality and reduce scrap.
- maintain/improve customer service through use/participation of, 8-d s, concern summary resolution teams and ensuring correct implementation of ecn s and iso/iatf-16949 processes.
- plan and execute company initiatives (tpm, suggestion program, etc.)
- keep track of crib usage for associates
- manage time and attendance in hris
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in manufacturing
- demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- associate’s degree (as) or enrollment in classes towards an associate’s degree (as) preferred
- basic knowledge of computers is expected
- must be able to work in a manufacturing and office environment
- erp system training
- hris system training
- frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. And occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- occasional lifting, climbing, carrying, pulling, griping, grasping, twisting, bending, stooping and reaching throughout the work day
- ability to sit stand and walk for extended periods of time (8 hours or more)
- ability to use a phone and computer keyboard.
