Are you a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity within a nurturing and forward-thinking primary school? We are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded co-educational primary school in Harpenden
, part of a respected multi-academy trust, for a Year 2 Teacher to join the team on a full-time maternity cover basis
, starting April 2026

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Year 2 teacher who can deliver high-quality teaching and support the school's ethos and values. This is a full-time, maternity cover position, starting in April 2026
.
- Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum
- Support the social and emotional development of pupils
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning
Promote wellbeing and mindfulness across the classroom - Collaborate with staff to ensure a consistent and inclusive learning environment
- Hold QTS (or equivalent)
- Have proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to holistic child development and wellbeing
- Be confident delivering creative, hands-on learning experiences
- Be enthusiastic, adaptable and a strong team player
- Able to commute to Harpenden
