Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Job Role & Responsibilities

As a contract maintenance engineer, you will support continuous factory operations through effective reactive and planned maintenance. The role also plays a key part in driving site improvements relating to machinery performance, quality, hygiene, and operational efficiency.

• Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance across site equipment
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical breakdowns with urgency
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance to a high standard
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
• Ensure compliance with current electrical and industrial regulations
• Apply RCA techniques to identify root causes and prevent reoccurrence

• Completed an engineering apprenticeship (Electrical & Mechanical)
• NVQ Level 3 or above / ONC / HNC in a relevant engineering discipline
• 18th Edition electrical qualification
• Strong hands-on electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience
• Experience working in an FMCG or food manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Knowledge of UK and industrial electrical regulations
• PLC diagnostic experience (no programming required)
• A methodical, safety-focused approach to problem solving

• Contract role outside IR35
• Competitive hourly rate
