Job Overview

It is an exciting time to join the Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust. PAHT has been awarded funding to support the vision for the West Essex Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) in providing timely access to diagnostics for all of the West Essex population, tackling health inequalities and achieving the 28-day Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) for all potential cancer and non‑cancer patients.

Clinical patient pathways will be joined up between primary, community and secondary care by redesigning existing healthcare provision to include elective and non‑elective models of care and extension of opening hours.

Position

The Radiology department at the Princess Alexandra Hospital is actively seeking to recruit a Consultant Radiologist with a sub‑specialty interest in Head and Neck Imaging
. This position will consist of 10 PA per week, with an additional PA for on‑call commitments.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Support a busy and diverse imaging service.
  • Develop and lead the Head and Neck imaging service, expanding its scope.
  • Be based primarily at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, with possible work garets in Epping or Herts & Essex in Bishops Stortford.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Teach radiology registrars.
