Senior Financial Analyst

Overview

I am recruiting for a Senior Finance Analysts on behalf of a large UK engineering and defence organisation. These are replacement hires within a growing finance team, with clear scope to progress into future leadership roles.

This is a business facing role. You will work closely with functional leads and senior leadership to own forecasts, improve planning, and strengthen financial control across the organisation.

• Build strong working relationships with functional leaders and senior stakeholders
• Lead forecasting for headcount, utilisation, and overhead costs
• Manage monthly plans, annual budgets, and long term forecasts
• Own functional plans and forecasts with budget holders
• Act as the main link between finance and multiple functional teams
• Deliver zero based budgeting activity
• Support capital planning and act as the finance link into functions
• Help standardise and improve forecasting and reporting processes

This role partners with around 5 to 6 functional areas, with a mix of complex and light touch stakeholders.

• Degree or equivalent
• Newly or part qualified CIMA or ACCA, ideally at later stages
• Experience in operations finance or a contracts environment
• Comfortable working with long term plans and multiple stakeholders
• Manufacturing finance exposure is valuable for one of the roles
• Capital cost knowledge is a strong advantage
