Job Description

As Engineering Manager, your role is to coordinate people, resources, and priorities to support a 24 / 7 Production Environment. Your key responsibilities include :

  • Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of Engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Matching skills to tasks and developing a multiskilled, flexible team that proactively addresses issues and creates innovative ways to improve reliability.
  • Implementing and maintaining robust engineering processes and standards to ensure operational excellence.
  • Overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiencies and optimise production processes.
  • Conducting regular performance reviews and providing mentorship to team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Analysing production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, modelling safe working practices at all times.
  • Managing departmental budgets effectively, including resource allocation and cost control measures.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation within the engineering team.
  • Participating in the Plant Manager team, contributing to strategic decision-making and long‑term planning for the facility.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the engineering department.
  • Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and project delivery.

This role requires a proactive approach to problem‑solving, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
