Learning Support Assistant; SEN

Awarm, welcoming, and highly regarded primary school in Harlow is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately and offers the chance to become a valued member of a supportive and inclusive school community.

• Providing tailored 1:1 support for a child with SEN within the classroom
• Supporting learning activities and adapting resources where needed
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
• Assisting with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction
• Supporting daily routines, transitions, and engagement in lessons
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
• Creating a calm, safe, and nurturing learning environment

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
• A patient, caring, and reliable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confident supporting learning and behaviour in a primary setting
• A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
