Rate: £110 - £120 per day

We are currently seeking Cover Supervisors to support Secondary Schools across Harlow, Essex
.

This role is an ideal stepping stone for graduates considering a career in teaching, or for experienced teaching assistants looking to take the next step in their career.

Unlike a teacher, a Cover Supervisor is not required to plan or mark lessons. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the classroom and ensure students complete the work set by the department.

• Supervision: Lead the classroom and keep students on-task and engaged.
• Behaviour Management: Maintain a focused and safe learning environment according to school policy.
• Support: Assist students with any queries they have regarding the pre-set work.
• Flexibility: Work across various subjects, from PE and Drama to Maths and Science.

• Education: Degree level preferred, but a strong background in coaching, youth work, or childcare will be considered.
• Confidence: The ability to command a classroom and communicate effectively with teenagers.
• Adaptability: A flexible nature to handle the changing needs of a school day.
• Clearance: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Reliability: Schools in Harlow rely on consistent and punctual cover staff.
