Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Overview
A £30m turnover specialist contractor is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to start their career in civil engineering and construction, gaining hands-on experience on RC frame, groundworks, and infrastructure projects.
Working closely with experienced commercial managers and project teams, you will develop the skills and knowledge required to manage project costs, contracts, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, practical construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with cost management, budgeting, and forecasting on RC frame and groundworks projects

* Support the preparation of tender documents, subcontract packages, and commercial reports

* Help manage procurement of subcontractors and materials

* Assist with valuation of works, variations, and final accounts

* Monitor project costs and provide timely financial reporting to project teams

* Support site teams with commercial and contractual matters

* Maintain accurate records, contracts, and cost documentation

* Learn and assist in risk management and cost control throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management,

* Strong interest in a career within civil engineering, RC frame, and groundworks projects

* Good numerical, analytical, and organisational skills

* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment

* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

* Full UK driving licence (or willingness to obtain)
