About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team in Harlingen. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages to our valued customers.
Responsibilities- Safely operate your own personal vehicle to deliver packages to residential and commercial locations
- Load and unload packages efficiently, ensuring proper handling of items
- Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency
- Verify delivery information and obtain necessary signatures
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or inquiries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies
- Report any issues or delays to the dispatch team promptly
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by management
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- 18 years of age or older
- 2 years of driving history if 18, 1 if 19
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in using GPS and navigation tools
- Basic smartphone skills for using delivery apps and communication
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous delivery or professional driving experience preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions (if applicable)
- Carry pizzas and beverages while performing walking and climbing duties
- Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area; may make several deliveries per shift
- Travel between store and delivery vehicle and from vehicle to customer’s location
- Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery of product
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when delivering product, driving, and couponing
- Far vision and night vision required for driving
