As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Driver in Harlingen, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer for Allied Universal at a leading retail location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. This unarmed, driving post involves regular patrols, visible presence, and exceptional customer service. You will interact with guests and staff, respond to incidents, and contribute to a secure environment, all while embodying Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site procedures.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Work collaboratively with store management and staff to address security‑related concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site‑specific policies.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
• Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
