Description
We are looking for the right Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our team.
Pay: $13.00 to $16.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.65 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

- Typically, stores are open 9AM–6PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for day-to-day store operations and fostering a positive, productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations / Customer Satisfaction.
The position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
Together with the Store Manager, this role analyzes store financial statements to ensure goals are met. You will commit to the asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities Of An Assistant Store Manager(This is a representative list of general duties and is not all-inclusive; additional duties may be assigned as needed.)
- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including cash and merchandise handling with asset protection in mind.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control and safety procedures.
- Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly with employees about the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willingness to perform duties involving standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting as required by law.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others and work with firearms to become firearms certified.
- Ability to work across multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays; 40+ hours per week; hours vary by business needs.
