Service PorterThe Service Porter is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the operation of the service department. This position interacts daily with customers, technicians, service associates, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates and managers, just to name a few.
Job Responsibilities- Pick up from and deliver customers to desired locations.
- Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers as directed.
- Move vehicles from the intake area to the storage area.
- Move vehicles inside and outside of the service department to help achieve production standards.
- Maintain a neat and orderly service area by sweeping, removing trash and discarded parts, and performing other actions required to maintain the appearance of the service shop.
- Maintain other areas of the service department such as the offices, storage areas, and the area surrounding the service department.
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
- Available Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
We are looking for someone who has strong people skills and a genuine desire to serve the client. A positive attitude and willingness to be a team member are essential. The role requires a high level of customer focus, the ability to work in a fast‑moving environment, and strong organizational skills.
Education and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Texas driver’s license.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to stand, frequently walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and occasionally sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
