Overview
We are seeking a Director of Nursing (often referred to as a Nursing Director
). The Director of Nursing (
DON
) organizes and administers areas of clinical and patient care services to attain the facility’s objectives established by hospital administration.

- Develop and implement hospital plans for providing nursing care, treatment, and clinical services to patients requiring care and services.
- Participate with management, medical staff and clinical leaders in the facility’s decision‑making structures and processes.
- Implement an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess and improve the quality of nursing care, treatment and services delivered to patients.
Before we go any further, we do have some deal‑breakers. You must have:
- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience.
- Minimum of 2 years previous Administrative experience preferred.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field (MHA, MBA in HCM, or other healthcare discipline) required.
