The RN provides high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process, directing care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and infection control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care. The RN also:

• Assumes responsibility for coordination and planning of patient care within the prescribed medical regime;
• Administers all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy;
• Performs and fulfills all HICS (hospital incident command system) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster;
• Knows the hospital’s emergency codes, including purpose and appropriate action for each, and adheres to the hospital policies and procedures for each emergency code.

This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus.

This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and provide direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis, and at the unit level. The RN is responsible for supervising staff to which appropriate care is delegated and is accountable to support the CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

• Required:
  
  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.

• Required:
  
  Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law and in the state of practice or policy; AHA BLS and, if applicable by corporate policy for unit of hire, AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP.
