Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality, safe, cost‑effective, total nursing care to all patients.
  • Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
  • Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and infection control, with the goal of discharging the patient with an optimum level of care.
  • Plan and coordinate patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
  • Administer all medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
  • Perform and fulfill all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility during emergencies and/or disasters.
  • Know the hospital’s emergency codes and adhere to policies for each.
Job Summary

This role provides direct clinical patient care. The RN will assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis and at the unit level. The RN will supervise staff to whom care is delegated, support the CNO to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, maintain competency of clinical staff, and manage resources related to patient care.

Education
  • Required:

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred:
    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing.
Experience
  • Preferred:
    Recent acute care experience.
Certifications
  • Required:

    Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by state law or regulation; AHA BLS, and, if applicable by corporate policy for the unit of hire, AHA ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP.
