Shift: Nights (12‑hour shifts, 7:00 pm–7:00 am)

We are seeking a Cardiology RN
, internally referred to as our Cardio Nurse, Cardi Stress RN or Cardiovascular RN. Cardiovascular RNs assist cardiologists by offering direct care to patients with acute or chronic cardiovascular diseases. They may use electrocardiograms, stress tests, and vascular monitoring to evaluate heart health. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed.

• Assess patients’ cardiac health through physical examinations, reviewing medical histories, and monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen saturation.
• Monitor patients’ cardiac rhythms and interpret electrocardiograms (ECGs) to identify irregularities or signs of distress.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, oral medications, and intravenous infusions, for regulating blood pressure, controlling arrhythmias, or managing heart failure symptoms.
• Provide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self‑care techniques to manage their condition effectively.
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures such as nuclear stress tests.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies such as cardiac arrests or acute myocardial infarctions by initiating CPR and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols.

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Current ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a CVICU RN.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
