MEMCO Harlingen is Hiring a Construction Material Technician (entry-level available) in the Rio Grande Valley Area. The candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting a variety of construction materials such as soils, concrete, and pile monitoring. The ideal candidate will be ACI or NICET certified. Training will be provided as needed.

Pay Rate:
Base on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for conducting field or laboratory testing, sampling, and/or inspection services.
• Contact the dispatcher/ coordinator for priorities and deadlines in both field and laboratory.
• Meet with contractors' supervisors, engineers/architect representatives, or other project leaders on job sites to discuss and coordinate testing, sampling, or inspection of construction materials or construction procedures.
• Ensure the safe, storage, and upkeep of all nuclear gauges.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of each company vehicle, field, and laboratory equipment.
• Every day, communicate with onsite clients and relay any information to the supervisor as per delay or progress.
• Daily basis, submit accurate and complete testing/ inspection reports.

Qualifications:

• Flexibility in work schedule.
• Able to work in different environments.
• Valid driver's license
• Analyze sample results using simple math.
• Must be able to pass drug screening
• Must be able to pass background check.
• ACI, NICET certification.
• Capable of physically lifting heavy materials and equipment.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing-present ideas clearly and in a professional manner.
