We are currently working on behalf of a local authority in North London who are seeking an experienced Housing Liaison Officer to join their Tenancy Management service on a temporary basis.
This is a frontline, patch-based role requiring a visible presence on estates and direct engagement with residents. The post holder will manage a varied caseload covering tenancy management, anti-social behaviour, tenancy sustainment, voids, and resident engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a high-quality tenancy management service across a defined patch
Act as a visible presence on estates, engaging directly with residents
Respond to and manage low-level anti-social behaviour, including neighbour disputes and tenancy breaches
Carry out tenancy visits including routine, ad-hoc, vulnerability, arrears, and ASB-related visits
Support tenancy sustainment and identify early intervention opportunities
Undertake pre-termination visits, accompanied viewings, tenancy sign-ups, and new tenant visits
Serve Notices (NTQ / NOSP) where appropriate and escalate complex cases
Work closely with internal teams and external partners including Police, DWP, HB/CTB, CAB and support agencies
Attend resident association and stakeholder meetings where required
Maintain accurate case records and ensure documentation is uploaded promptly
Respond to enquiries, correspondence, and complaints professionally and efficiently
Support emergency response activity when required
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in a housing, tenancy management, or similar frontline housing role
Strong knowledge of social housing, tenancy law, and tenancy enforcement
Experience managing ASB cases and resident disputes
Ability to carry out regular estate and home visits
Experience working with vulnerable residents
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Confident using housing IT systems and Microsoft Office
Ability to manage a varied caseload and work autonomously
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable:
Housing qualification or evidence of continued professional development
Experience working within a local authority or housing association setting
