Location: Tottenham

Session Planning: To plan and prepare relevant, high-quality, structured, and engaging sports and activity sessions that create a positive environment where every student feels inspired, involved, and empowered to participate and learn.

Managing Sports & Activities Sessions: To lead and manage a diverse range of sports and activities confidently, professionally, and safely, ensuring students experience an enjoyable and well‑run Social Programme throughout the Summer School.

Lesson Planning
:
Design engaging, structured, and dynamic specialist sessions that align with the BSS’s syllabus, helping students expand their vocabulary, improve fluency, gain confidence and explore their chosen subject.

Teaching: Deliver 1 – 1.5 hours of specialist sessions each weekday (5 – 7.5 contact hours per week) in an inclusive and encouraging way, using only the target language, to foster a positive classroom atmosphere where all students can learn, participate, and make meaningful progress.

The specialisms to deliver would be one of the following:

Sports Science - increasing students’ academic and theoretical knowledge in some of the core sport science subjects. To let students experience studying sports science “the UK way” and to enable students to participate in practical, hands‑on projects, where appropriate. Subjects covered include Anatomy & injury prevention, English for competitive sport, nutrition, & sports psychology.

Footballers of the future (In partnership with Tottenham Hotspur) – deliver workshops that, are designed to improve and expand knowledge and understanding of some key elements that affect playing football at an advanced level and competing such as:
Anatomy & Injury Prevention, Match Play Strategies, Nutrition, Personal Responsibility, Resilience, Sport Psychology, player development within the game environment.

Art, Dance, Drama & Music: deliver sessions that improve students’ receptive and productive skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening), extend the scope and range of their vocabulary in both formal and informal contexts and deepen their understanding of grammar to improve spoken and written accuracy.

Monitoring & Assessment: Ensure students are placed at the appropriate level and track their progress through regular checks and assessments, providing evidence of improvement via reports and helping each student reach their full potential.

Academic Administration: To complete administrative duties such as maintaining accurate session plans, class profiles, registers, making sure students complete their arrival and departure and weekly logs of all work completed.

Risk Assessments / Health & Safety: To read, understand, and apply the risk assessment for every sport or activity you lead or assist with, ensuring full adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures so that all sessions are safe and well‑managed.

Excursions: To accompany and supervise students on trips or excursions, following the schedule and relevant procedures to ensure a safe, enjoyable, informative and well‑organised experience.

Pro Options: To lead Pro Options sessions, in activities for which you hold relevant qualifications, supporting students to enhance their existing skills, gain confidence, and develop new abilities.

Pastoral Care: To remain consistently aware of students’ attitudes, behaviour, and general well‑being, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are supported, and to promptly report any concerns to the Welfare Manager or Centre Manager.

Promoting Good Conduct: To monitor and positively guide students’ behaviour, fostering a respectful and inclusive international community in which every student feels valued, confident, and supported regardless of background or beliefs.

House Duties: To supervise students within the Boarding House, uphold expectations of conduct, enforce routines such as bedtimes, report any issues or damage, and support the House Parent or Welfare Manager to maintain a safe, welcoming, and well‑managed living environment.
