We have open Financial Advocate positions with the initial salary of $17.00 to $19.81/hour, with consideration for skills and experience. Financial Advocates have the opportunity to grow within the organization to the position that becomes their passion.
Mission & ValuesAs a dedicated member of the OnPath FCU team, this role performs a variety of tasks that, in partnership with surrounding departments, provide cost‑effective financial services for the benefit of our members. Our core values (E.P.I.I.C.) guide everything we do:

- Greets and assists every member with a friendly, positive, and professional demeanor.
- Presents accurate service for deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and other transactions.
- Researches, troubleshoots, and resolves member and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices and products.
- Conducts consultative conversations with members to cross‑sell opportunities such as checking accounts, personal and auto loans, credit cards, refinances, debt consolidation loans and refer mortgage and commercial loans to the appropriate departments.
- Effectively communicates information on credit union products and services and meets or exceeds referral and sales goals set by the branch.
- Interprets credit reports to offer the best solutions to members.
- Efficiently processes loan documents.
- Assists with branch opening and closing procedures, prepares currency and coin for shipment, verifies cash drawers/currency shipments/vault totals.
- Supports branch operations by performing administrative tasks and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Participates in training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including security procedures to protect against fraud and member confidentiality.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.
- Up to 6 months of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- Experience in a sales and/or customer service environment.
- High school education or GED.
- Professional courtesy and tact; ability to handle routine customer interactions.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to the area of responsibility.
- Proficiency with database software and the MS Office suite.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
The role requires regular sitting, using hands and arms, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. The environment is indoor and climate‑controlled. Required to perform tasks independently, follow written and oral instructions, handle multiple priorities, exercise discretion, and maintain accuracy.
