Packer​/QA Tech - Weekend Night

Utz Quality Foods, a leader in the snack food industry, is growing, and we're looking for dedicated, hands-on Packers/ Quality Assurance Techs to join our team at our High Street facility in Hanover, PA. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent weekend night shift schedule (Friday through Sunday, 5:55 PM to 5:55 AM), along with competitive pay, benefits, and the chance to work in a team-oriented environment where your contribution matters.

Responsibilities

• Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any defects.
• Inspects package weight.
• Verifies code, dates, and price.
• Examines package for proper seal.
• Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
• Packs product into cartons, cans and specialty containers and places them onto skids/conveyors.
• Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items).
• Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times following OSHA, FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Assists as back-up Quality Assurance Technician as needed.
• Learn routine quality assurance testing; product sample collection; physical property testing; sensory evaluation; and various lab techniques to support and assist as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Works in a safe manner at all times and communicates any safety issues to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
