Position Purpose

In partnership with the Chief Advancement Officer and informed by Tuck’s strategic priorities, the Senior Director of Annual Giving provides strategic and operational leadership for Tuck’s best-in‑class annual giving program, ensuring ambitious financial and participation goals are achieved each fiscal year. The Senior Director fosters a long‑term culture of philanthropy by appealing to a broad swath of alumni, students, and friends across their different stages of life.

Required Qualifications – Education and Years of Experience

Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications – Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in annual giving or development leadership in non‑profits.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding fundraising and participation goals.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and skill leading and developing a team of successful fundraising professionals.
  • Deep knowledge of fundraising, culminating gifts, marketing communications, and higher education administration.
  • Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of alumni, alumni class officers and volunteers, colleagues, supervises, and other constituents.
  • Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
  • Able to collaborate with others as primary means to achieve results.
  • Able to seek out and create learning opportunities, including through those revealed by setbacks and failures as well as successes.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in business school or professional school environment desirable.
