CNO Software Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in a technical field or High School Diploma with equivalent extensive technical experience
• Over 20 years of relevant technical work experience or 24+ years with a High School Diploma
• Proficiency in Python or C/C++ programming
• Strong skills in troubleshooting and debugging intricate systems
• Familiarity with low-level system internals across multiple platforms (e.g., Windows, Unix, Mobile, or network devices)
• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP) and socket‑level programming
• Experience in developing computer network operations (CNO) capabilities
• Proven ability to manage and guide development teams in crafting technical CNO solutions
• (Preferred) Experience with assembly language programming
• (Preferred) Background in software analysis or reverse engineering
• (Preferred) Knowledge of unit testing frameworks and methodologies
• (Preferred) Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Crucible
• Must possess a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph security clearance and readiness to obtain another polygraph prior to commencement if necessary
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the workday

• Design and create innovative hardware- or software-based CNO capabilities
• Oversee the documentation, testing, debugging, and overall development of software applications and systems
• Utilize expert knowledge of security frameworks and network technologies
• Craft data queries for existing or planned databases or data storage solutions
• Develop or implement algorithms aimed at meeting or surpassing system performance and functionality criteria
