The Hazing Prevention Project Manager will lead Dartmouth’s campus-wide Hazing Prevention Coalition (D-HPC) in the design, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive, evidence-informed plan to prevent hazing, foster ethical leadership, and promote healthy, inclusive, and safe campus environments. Working closely with the Student Wellness Center and other campus partners, the manager will:
- Integrate hazing-prevention efforts with broader wellbeing and other campus initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison for faculty, staff, students, alumni, and national experts on issues of hazing prevention.
- Ensure all strategies reflect Dartmouth’s values and the perspectives of diverse campus groups.
Join Dartmouth’s Hazing Prevention Project to lead a 20+ member coalition of faculty, staff, and student leaders reshaping campus culture and setting the national standard for safe, inclusive environments. You’ll design and evaluate evidence-based strategies, partner with the Student Wellness Center, and serve as the main liaison for alumni and national experts.
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs ExpBachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities- Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, health education, higher education, health promotion, psychology, or related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in hazing or violence prevention, health promotion, wellness, or a closely related field.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to foster positive and productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., students, staff, and faculty).
- Experience designing and facilitating interactive, skill-based workshops.
- Experience working with and/or advocating on behalf of marginalized people (e.g., African-American, Asian-American, Faith-Based, International, Latine, LGBTQIA+, Native American).
- Experience working with aspects of hazing and violence prevention initiatives.
- High degree of flexibility, including the ability to work evenings and weekends on occasion, as needed.
- Master’s degree in public health, social work, health education, higher education, health promotion, counseling, community development, or related field.
- 5+ more years of experience in health promotion, wellness, hazing or violence prevention, or a closely related field.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely with minimal supervision, to manage multiple projects, and to work constructively in a team environment.
- Experience working in a higher education environment or with college-aged individuals. Expertise teaching or facilitating conversations in topics related to hazing prevention.
- Experience with topic areas of sexual violence, substance misuse, positive team development, belonging, power dynamics.
