To set up and conduct a variety of laboratory tests and experiments in support of research studies directed at Xnew ARPAh-funded APECx vaccine project using artificial intelligence to design vaccines against HSV by applying established methods, procedures, and techniques.
Required QualificationsEducation And Yrs Exp: Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills, Knowledge And Abilities: 3 years of relevant lab/research experience. Competence in several laboratory methods, procedures and techniques as well as the equipment and instruments. Ability to work independently with good judgment and good organizational and time management skills. Willingness to work with/be exposed to hazardous materials such as radioactive materials, infectious materials, and/or hazardous chemicals. Knowledge of computers and software applications.

Responsibilities (Percentage Of Time)- Conducts laboratory experiments/tests, utilizing a range of established methods, procedures, and techniques with necessary preparations, observes experiment, records observations and maintains laboratory notebook.
- Prepares appropriate and understandable representations of data such as graphs, charts, tables, statistical summaries, etc. Analyzes data resulting from experimentation/testing. Summarizes results and prepares progress reports for oral presentation.
- Instructs others in laboratory methods, procedures, and techniques and provides technical guidance and direction as required. Maintains computerized records associated with laboratory activities.
- May assist in animal research; including maintenance of mouse colonies, injections, breeding, in vivo assays and entering data into computerized databases.
Demonstrates professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications with others appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all. Performs other duties as assigned.
