College Art Education Intern

Location: Children’s Art Classes – Hanover, MA

Internship Type: Unpaid (Volunteer/Fieldwork Credit Available)
Hours: Flexible – Weekday evenings, Saturdays, and/or special events

Are you an aspiring art educator or early childhood professional looking to gain hands‑on experience in a real studio classroom setting? Join us at Children’s Art Classes (CAC) Hanover for a College Internship designed to build confidence, leadership, and classroom teaching experience alongside seasoned professionals. You’ll work directly with students and instructors in our structured 9‑year visual arts program while developing your own teaching style in a supportive environment.

• Current college students pursuing Art Education, Studio Art, or Early Childhood Education
• Seeking fieldwork, practicum, or volunteer hours
• Passionate about art and working with students ages 5–18
• Professional, collaborative, and eager to grow

• Assist instructors with lesson setup and cleanup
• Support students with art techniques and project development
• Observe and participate in classroom behavior management
• Contribute to seasonal events, birthday parties, or summer camps
• Assist with photography, social media, or portfolio prep, as needed

• Real‑world classroom teaching and mentoring
• Student interaction and age‑based differentiation
• Curriculum implementation and feedback strategies
• Professional communication and team collaboration
• Art education portfolio content and experience

• Must be enrolled in a college program related to art or education
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
• Weekend and/or evening availability is required
• Internships typically align with school semester dates (Summer internships are available)
• CAC Hanover will provide confirmation of hours and evaluations if needed
