Senior Java AWS Developer; Domain

CTG is seeking a Senior Java AWS Developer with strong experience in Payments, Trade, and Settlement systems to join our client.

Location: Whippany, NJ (hybrid remote - in office 2 days/week)
Duration: 9 months

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Integration.
• Implement and optimize Oracle SQL queries and relational database designs.
• Build event-driven systems using Apache Kafka, MQ.
• Implement API and Microservices architectures leveraging Spring Cloud, Node.js, Netflix OSS.
• Deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS, including serverless and containerized services.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, build, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with front-end teams using Angular.js, JavaScript, CSS where required.

• Strong Java (17+) and Spring Boot/Integration experience.
• Proficient in AWS services and cloud-native development principles.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git Lab, automated testing (JUnit, Cucumber).
• Knowledge of SWIFT/Payments/Trade/Settlement systems.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ).
• Ability to map legacy systems to AWS-specific services.

• 2+ years implementing API/Microservices-based architectures on AWS.
• Proven track record in Payments domain development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $123,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
