Position Summary
We are hiring immediately for a full‑time Maintenance Technician/Electrician at Mondelez (Route 10, Whippany, New Jersey 07981). Online applications only.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, hours may vary; details upon interview.
Pay: $35.00–$40.00 per hour.
- Update work statuses and document completed tasks in the CMMS; maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete tests and inspections.
- Read blueprints and diagrams, determine materials needed, estimate time and material costs for installations, and request supplies.
- Troubleshoot all electrical systems and respond to emergency problems, making repairs as required.
- Maintain, repair, clean, and operate plant, shops, mechanical areas, exterior grounds, and campus facilities.
- Provide fleet maintenance support (welding, plumbing, electrical, kitchen maintenance, vehicle operation, generator repairs).
- Assist in decisions on minor and routine repairs; report major problems to supervisors or the journeyman.
- Clean sidewalks, parking areas, and dispose of trash and debris.
- Operate electrical and gasoline‑powered equipment; perform minor equipment repairs with hand and power tools.
- Execute tasks such as minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, lamp changes, and drywall maintenance.
- Serve as a member of the facility's emergency response team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
- Journeyman Electrical License (preferred) and working knowledge of local, state, and NEC.
- Secondary Electrical Power Systems Conditioning knowledge (backup power and UPS systems).
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor for extended periods.
- Minimum of one year of related experience as a maintenance worker in a similar‑sized institution; valid driver’s license.
Overtime opportunities and paid time off. Work may require exposure to heat, noise, dust, and infection‑control areas. Employees may work all hours, including weekends and nights, as needed.
