As an Overnight ICU Veterinary Technician, you’ll work side‑by‑side with veterinarians whose sole focus is supporting hospitalized patients and the technicians caring for them. No split priorities. What You’ll Do

• Deliver advanced ICU‑level care through continuous monitoring of vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, temperature, and patient status
• Administer and manage complex therapies
  , including CRIs, fluids, analgesia, blood products, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation
• Respond decisively in emergencies
  , assisting with CPR, stabilization, and life‑saving interventions
• Collaborate closely with dedicated ICU veterinarians
  , contributing clinical insight and adjusting care plans based on patient response
• Perform and support diagnostics
  , including blood work, blood pressure monitoring, and ongoing patient assessments
• Maintain detailed, accurate medical records to ensure seamless continuity of care across shifts

What You Bring (Qualifications)

• Previous ICU or emergency veterinary experience
• Strong technical proficiency with ventilators, ECGs, infusion pumps, and advanced monitoring equipment
• High‑level medication accuracy and confidence managing critical patients
• Clear, confident communication skills with doctors, teammates, and pet owners
• Emotional resilience and composure in high‑pressure, high‑acuity situations

Compensation Transparency

Compensation is determined based on experience, demonstrated competencies, and eligibility for additional differentials, aligned with defined skill expectations to ensure fairness, clarity, and opportunity for growth. The published pay range reflects applicable shift‑based pay differentials.

Compensation Example

• Base hourly rate: $35.00
• Additional Friday/Saturday overnight differential: +$3.50/hour

Total overnight rate: $45.50/hour

For a 12‑hour overnight shift, this equals: $546.00 for the shift

Example:
Weekday Overnight Shift

• Base hourly rate: $35.00
• Weekday overnight differential (15%): +$5.25/hour

Total overnight rate: $40.25/hour

For a 12‑hour overnight shift, this equals: $483.00 for the shift
