Registered Nurse

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is working with our client in Cedar Knolls, NJ to hire an RN for their school that educates and cares for children with disabilities. This is a direct-hire position/permanent placement role.

Pay Range: $83,000-$85,000+/year based on experience - EXCELLENT benefits!

Type: Direct hire, full time with client!

• Provides specialized health care and related services through assessment, intervention and follow-up for all students within the school setting.
• Implements and follows Individual Healthcare Plans (IHPs) and Emergency Action Plans for each student.
• Attends to sick or injured students, determines appropriate care, and coordinates further action or referral as needed.
• Administers medications and health procedures in accordance with students’ Individual Education Programs (IEPs).
• Evaluates the school environment to ensure safety and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Communicates health-related concerns and interprets medical reports for families and school staff, as appropriate.
• Assists with routine health screenings, including annual monitoring of height, weight and blood pressure.
• Provides families with referrals to healthcare providers and information about available community resources.
• Orients new private duty nurses and maintains current student health records for updated nursing agency physician orders (485 forms).
• Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to the school’s Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
• Prepares and maintains comprehensive nursing documentation, including seizure logs, incident reports, and head injury forms.
• Ensures student immunization records are current and compliant with state regulations.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support student health and educational success.

• Required
  :
  New Jersey Registered Nurse License
• Preferred:
  New Jersey Department of Education School Nurse Certification
• Maintains CPR/AED certifications.
• Maintains the required number of professional development hours for NJDOE and NJ Board of Nursing
• Physical ability to lift 40 lbs.
• At least one year of related experience.
• Prefer candidates have experience with trachs, seizure managements and feeding tubes
