Job DescriptionMedical Directors provide clinically and scientifically accurate insight and are responsible for the development of promotional medical education content for health care providers (HCP) peer-to-peer communications.
ResponsibilitiesSpecific Duties, Activities, and Responsibilities
- Provide scientific and strategic direction for clients
- Supports multiple-brand projects towards development of educational/commercial materials
- Uses clinical expertise to benchmark client versus competitor products
- Reviews current product literature and leverages information to support promotional claims
- Provides account team with new data from recently published clinical trial results
- Provide accurate hands-on writing, editing, and/or review of medical/clinical-focused content
- A range of promotional education content (eg, slide presentation, clinical booklets/pamphlets, handouts, case studies)
- Scientific manuscripts for publications in peer-reviewed journals (involve working closely with faculty to develop outlines/drafts, responding to reviewers’ comments, etc)
- Abstracts, posters, and oral presentations for clinical/medical conferences and congresses
- Advisory board content (eg, slide presentations) and post-meeting reports (eg, topline/executive summary)
- Supporting materials such as outlines, speaker notes, moderator guides, meeting transcripts
- Prepare references and annotations of all content for internal fact-checkers and client medical/regulatory/legal review
- Assist the team to address clinical/scientific comments/issues from the reviewers
- Presents new promotional materials to the client s review committee for approval
- Collaborate with Program Directors to ensure that written materials meet Client s strategic specifications
- Liaise with physicians and clients
Education: Pharm
D, PhD, MD
Requirements: 4-6 years related pharmaceutical experience, preferably in the medical education industry

- Ability to conduct literature searches, Web searches, and seek necessary scientific and clinical information in order to competently develop content for programs
- Strong ability to analyze clinical and scientific data, disease specific information, competitive information, and market trends
- Excellent written, oral, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent teamwork skills and experience
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Strong computer literacy skills

Compensation Range: $129, annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
