Job Purpose and SummarySupport our pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence. As the first point of contact, you will ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while providing caring service that exceeds patient expectations. You’ll work through Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), best practices, and effective communication, contributing to a safe and inclusive culture where all feel valued.
Responsibilities- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
- Adhere to workflow procedures at production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, and drop‑off stations for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Provide empathetic, personalized patient experiences at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone, including immunizations and other services.
- Complete inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting‑bin inventories.
- Support a high‑performing team by embracing a growth mindset, seeking feedback, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge.
- Be flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to stores within the market.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, off‑site clinics) when authorized and required by law.
- Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
- Educate patients about vaccine importance and refer to the pharmacist‑on‑duty for questions.
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report per public health requirements.
- Review, collect, and document patient information for each applicable patient.
- Track and manage vaccine supplies.
- Compliance with state board of pharmacy requirements governing practice, including age, education, and licensure/certification.
- If state requirements do not specify a minimum age, must be at least 16 years.
- If no minimum educational requirement is specified, must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Use math to solve problems such as total tablets, day’s supply, and bottle counts.

- Identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
- Physical Demands
- Mobile and upright for extended periods; lift, scan, bag items.
- Reach overhead, stretch, and use fingers primarily.
- Periodic lifting up to 20 lbs; frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.
- Must have close visual acuity for transcription, computer, and small part inspection.
- Communicate spoken instructions clearly.
- Other tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
- 1–3 years of prior pharmacy technician experience.
- Experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market.
