Job Description & How to Apply Below

Pharmacy is demanding—busy workflows, constant interruptions, and high expectations—but what we do matters. Our patients rely on us not just for medications, but for guidance, safety, and trust

Retail pressures—metrics, volume, speed—can easily pull our focus away from why you became a pharmacist in the first place. While we operate in a retail environment,
we are not just a retail operation
. We are a healthcare team, and patient care must remain at the center of everything we do.

The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at Shrafts 2.0 serves as the operational, regulatory, and clinical leader, ensuring full compliance with federal and state laws, accreditation standards. The PIC is responsible for building scalable workflows, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and importantly, supporting the financial and operational performance of the pharmacy.

Every patient deserves our attention, even when the workflow is demanding. Taking an extra moment to counsel, catch an error, or truly listen can make a real difference in outcomes—and it’s what defines us as healthcare professionals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, required.
  • Active and unrestricted NJ Registered Pharmacist (Rph) license in good standing.
  • Obtain and maintain multi-state resident and non-resident pharmacist licensure, including compounding licensure.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in pharmacy leadership; experience in fertility, specialty, mail-order, or high-volume operations, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, and payer requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational optimization, financial performance management, and quality improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex workflows, and collaborate across departments and organizations.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management systems (EMRs), clinical messaging platforms, and documentation systems.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays on rotation, and a monthly, weekly On-Call rotation.
  • Availability to travel nationally up to 25% of the year, as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Excel.
Responsibilities

The Pharmacist-in-Charge is the clinical, operational, and ethical leader of the pharmacy. The role goes beyond supervision—it ensures safe, compliant, and patient-centered pharmacy practice while developing a strong, accountable team.
