Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

Our client is seeking a Director of Accounting/Controller to oversee and elevate the organization’s financial operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, supporting compliance efforts, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency through technology and automation.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on, capable of guiding accounting functions while partnering with leadership to provide meaningful financial insight.

• Direct the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations to ensure accuracy and healthy cash flow management
• Evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, policies, and regulatory compliance standards
• Drive operational improvements by leveraging financial systems and AI‑enabled tools
• Ensure compliance with multi‑state tax requirements and filings
• Supervise payroll processes to ensure accuracy and adherence to applicable regulations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
• Strong command of GAAP principles and federal/state tax regulations
• Experience working with accounting platforms and technology‑driven financial tools
• Excellent analytical thinking, organizational skills, and communication abilities
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross‑functional collaboration
