Overview
Join Barclays as a Broker Dealer Regulatory Reporting VP, where you will oversee the function of complying with broker dealer reporting requirements. You will prepare and supervise the Net Capital calculation in accordance with SEC Rule 15c3-1, and various regulatory reports. This role involves extensive coverage of US broker-dealer financial reporting information and exposure to a broad range of the entity’s products and business activities.
Interfaces include Operations, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Compliance and Legal.
- Expertise in SEC/FINRA Broker Dealer Regulatory Reporting, including performing and overseeing the 15c3-1 Net Capital calculation process
- Understanding of the operational records and settlement mechanics of a broker dealer
- Independently execute tasks, challenge, and escalate issues where needed
- Attention to detail and ability to present to key stakeholders including senior management and regulators
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining effective controls that ensure process integrity and compliance
- Assessment and preparation of regulatory reports to authorities, and support to other departments in their preparation and review
- Analysis and presentation of regulatory data to provide insights into business performance, identify trends, and support decision-making
- Development and implementation of training programmes to educate employees on regulatory requirements and compliance responsibilities
- Communication and liaison with regulatory bodies, prompt responses to inquiries, and representation of the bank in meetings with regulators
- Management of the selection, implementation, and maintenance of regulatory reporting systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues
- Experience in regulatory reporting including CFTC segregation requirements, SEC Rule 15c3-3 Customer Reserve, and the Possession or Control Requirements
- Detail oriented with analytical aptitude; ability to work efficiently with advanced spreadsheets and solve problems with minimal guidance
- Ability to build relationships across teams – Operations, Product Control, Regulatory Reporting, Compliance, etc.
- To identify, assess and mitigate prudential regulatory reporting risks and provide oversight on regulatory reporting, maintaining open communication with regulators to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal control policies
- Assess the effectiveness of internal control processes and governance framework; address weaknesses and strengthen internal controls
- Lead or support preparation and submission of regulatory reports to authorities
- Provide regulatory data insights to inform business performance and decision-making
- Develop and deliver training on regulatory requirements and compliance responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT and other stakeholders to manage regulatory reporting systems and ensure integration with enterprise systems
- Contribute to strategy, drive requirements, and recommend changes; plan resources, budgets, and policies; maintain policies and processes
- Lead or manage teams, define roles and responsibilities, and guide specialists to influence operations in alignment with strategic priorities
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and maintain high standards
- Subject matter expert guidance for individual contributors; lead multi-year assignments; train and coach less experienced specialists
- Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional impact

SalaryMinimum Salary: $150,000
Maximum Salary: $210,000
