- An unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of the ATP written test.
- An unrestricted PIC type rating preferred.
- FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000 hours of total flight time preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency – Microsoft Office and other internet‑based programs.
- Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Experience flying business aircraft highly desired.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.
- Authorization to live/work in the United States.
Responsible for the delivery of flight training in simulators and ground school in accordance with the appropriate regulatory agency, CAE approved curriculum, and customer requirements. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) ready to lead client(s) through their training. After 1.5+ years, per business needs, designated Instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
Key Responsibilities- Provides simulator/flight or classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for licensing, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conducts pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner in accordance with CAE standards.
- Completes administrative duties such as training records, remedial training recommendations, and tracking instructional qualifications.
- Acts as a SME in curriculum and courseware creation when required.
- Constantly ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Occasionally move into different positions in various environments, including confined spaces.
- Remain in stationary positions constantly, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Occasionally move to accomplish tasks and adjust or move objects up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
