Overview

Job Title: Hospitality Specialist

Location: Hannibal, MO

Department: Primary Care

Employment Type: Part-time

Shift: Monday–Friday, with availability to be on-call and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

As a Hospitality Specialist, you will support both clients and staff by promoting health and safety throughout the organization. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are secure, respectful, and conducive to therapeutic transformation. Our ideal candidate is passionate about customer service, crisis intervention, and fostering a culture of care and connection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Uphold Preferred Family Healthcare’s Operational Guidelines and professional code of ethics
  • Promote a safe and welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors
  • Greet all individuals promptly and courteously
  • Provide assistance, direction, and information to clients and visitors
  • Conduct ongoing threat assessments and enforce safety measures
  • Respond to and intervene in unsafe situations using approved de-escalation techniques
  • Support crisis prevention and management efforts
  • Participate in staff development, meetings, and reflective practice
  • Build positive relationships through open and interactive communication
  • Assist in resolving client issues and complaints
  • Serve as a role model by demonstrating positive behavior and promoting hope and resilience
  • Maintain readiness and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Leadership Team
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan
  • Crisis intervention experience strongly preferred
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and procedural documents
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic math proficiency
  • Problem-solving and common-sense decision-making abilities
  • Ability to follow directions and accept supervision
