Job Title: Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM)

Reports To: Senior Vice President/Regional Market Manager (SVP/RMM)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary

Originate, analyze, close, and manage complex commercial relationships in accordance with Bank objectives, policies, and procedures. Ideally, the CRM will work independently and have the ability to generate new business within a short timeframe from existing developed relationships by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Interview applicants and request specified information for loan application; request appraisals, applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to evaluation of loan application; analyze applicant financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan; and correspond with or interview applicants or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.
  • Compile loan packages and facilitate negotiation with applicants according to established standards, such as fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms; make loan decisions or refer loan to Loan Committee for approval when appropriate; ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy; assure timely loan closing and funding activities.
  • Identify business opportunities for commercial depository and treasury management services in conjunction with routine calling habits; obtain requested depository and/or analysis statements to analyze with the Treasury Management Officer.
  • Utilize government programs when deemed necessary to meet customer's credit needs.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and information requests and resolve complaints relating to loan products and services offered.
  • Participate in the collection procedures and processes of the loan officers to assure the timely collection of all delinquent accounts and develop revised loan repayment terms or schedules as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with loan businesses and other organizations to provide information regarding the lending programs and policies.
  • Participate in the Bank's business development activities, represent the Bank in industry and professional associations, community organizations, local business groups, etc., and promote the Bank's favorable image.

  • Maintain education and professional expertise through attendance at job related seminars, conferences and workshops.

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B.

A.) from four‑year college or university in the field of business, including specific courses in accounting, finance, and economics plus additional lending‑related experience; or eight to ten years related banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

• Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
