Sales Manager

Overview

Alta Genetics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our Southwest region team, providing strategic oversight, guidance, and mentorship across California, Arizona, and Nevada. This role focuses on driving regional growth by identifying key customer segments and delivering exceptional, world-class service to our existing clients.

• Recruit, lead, coach, develop and retain a team of sales, technical, and service personnel
• Communicate and promote the company to establish the brand and market presence in the area
• Work with the Regional Sales Director to develop annual goals, budgets, marketing plans and targets
• Strategic planning, business development, and profitability for the region
• Strong contribution and engagement in all US Sales meetings
• Plan for and take corrective actions when gaps are identified within the team
• Regularly report on progress and performance of the region

• Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred (focus in Animal Science, Dairy Science or Agricultural Science is desirable)
• Possess a sound agricultural background and/or dairy industry experience
• A proven track record of success within a target driven sales environment
• Excitement for a Player/Coach role
• Ability to travel approximately 50% within the region
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Professional presence; ability to present to all levels/audiences
