Pay Range: $17.48-$17.50 per hour (BOE)

Hanford Post Acute is seeking a Part‑Time Housekeeper who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining sanitation and order throughout the facility, contributing directly to resident comfort, safety, and overall quality of care.

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, hallways, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Clean and sanitize resident rooms and bathrooms on a regular schedule.
• Dust and wipe down handrails, walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Follow established safety procedures, including proper use of caution signage and secure storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Operate housekeeping equipment and use cleaning supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
• Report any resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing.
• Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
• Manage time effectively and complete assignments efficiently.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility cleanliness standards.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long‑term care setting preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and understand procedure manuals and written directions.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, or diagram‑based instructions.

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
• Repetitive motions such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces.
• Regular use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and respond quickly to needs.

This position operates within a skilled nursing facility environment. The noise level is typically low to moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
