We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our orthodontic team. The ideal candidate will assist with various clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing excellent patient support.

The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in assisting orthodontists with patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in various dental assisting tasks, including sterilization, taking impressions, pouring models, creating in-house Essix retainers, and taking X-rays. A passion for patient care and an ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures.
  • Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Take dental Xrays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Fabricate and maintain lab equipment, including Essix retainers.
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms before and after patient visits.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure the office is stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a dental assistant program.
  • Certification in dental radiography is required.
  • Previous experience as a dental assistant, especially in an orthodontic setting, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Experience with pouring models and fabricating Essix retainers is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • CPR certification required.
