MACHINE REPAIR – MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR TECHNICIAN

Metropolitan Baking Company is hiring immediately for a Maintenance Supervisor Technician at our facility in Hamtramck, Michigan.

This position requires the technical skills to:

• Evaluate
• Direct workers, or assist in diagnosing malfunctions in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce OSHA and company safety regulations
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assign duties
• Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules
• Troubleshoot
• Repair and install bakery and food processing equipment
• Mechanical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, basic electrical, and refrigeration knowledge
• Maintain conveyors and physical structures
• Preventative Maintenance
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Position start time roughly 3:00 – 4:00 PM

In addition, the Maintenance Technician must possess an awareness and understanding of how to work safely on Mechanical and Electrical equipment in a high-speed production environment.

• 1 year related experience, or licensed journeyman of a skilled trade

• After 90 days, full time employee (probation period)
