Schedule:
Monday‑Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
Annual salary: $49,612.50

Hampton‑Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high‑quality, essential, and community‑based services to citizens of the Peninsula since 1971, serving individuals living with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and create treatment plans.
- Coordinate services, offer counseling, and provide crisis intervention.
- Ensure clients have access to necessary resources.
- Promote healthy childhood development and nurture parent‑child relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Counseling).
- At least one year of case‑management experience with children and adolescents.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide counseling with empathy.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test, and employment reference checks.
