WE'RE HIRING: FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANAt Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB), we're looking for a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep our buildings safe, functional, and welcoming. You'll provide a wide range of maintenance services that directly support our behavioral health programs - from fixing a leaky pipe to setting up a new office space, your work matters here.

In this role, you will perform routine building maintenance tasks, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions, completing minor electrical work, repairing leaks, unclogging drains, and ensuring facilities operate efficiently. Additional duties include reconfiguring office spaces, maintaining electrical switchboards, and handling minor painting, carpentry, and building inspections. You'll also be expected to maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule to address emergencies as they arise.
Whatwe're looking for in a Technician, Facilities Maintenance
We're looking for a candidate with at least two years of experience in building maintenance and a solid foundational knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work. A valid Virginia Driver's License is required, as this role involves operating agency vehicles. The ideal candidate is hands-on, comfortable using a variety of tools, and enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
