DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of power and lighting circuits, service equipment and troubleshooting.
• Maintains and installs lighting fixtures, raceways, electrical devices and overcurrent protection. Including clocks, fire alarms and security systems.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code and National Fire and Protection Codes.
• Responsible for maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems and inspections. Coordinates work with contractors as required
• Available for emergencies and coordinates with school security and local law enforcement for security prevention and investigations and scheduled or emergency power outages.
• Other related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman electrical license preferred.
• Apprenticeship and/or documented technical training .
• Not less than five years experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of tools or the trade, utilizing meters, bending conduit, wiring methods and operating aerial equipment.
• Knowledge of security and fire systems.
• Requires a valid Driver's License.
