We Make It Happen by following Smart Organization Healthy Organization (SOHO) principles for internal and external communications and the successful execution of projects.
This position offers a consistent, set schedule with a guaranteed 40 hours a week, paid training, and opportunities for overtime is available. Many development advancements can be offered as Crew Lead Positions, Class A Licensing, and testing from Journeyman to Master positions. All equipment is provided on the job.
Applicants must successfully pass a background check. Please note that individuals with certain convictions may not qualify for this position due to the nature of the job responsibilities. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this role. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain electrical wiring system and components in accordance with the provisions of the National Electrical Code and Industry Standards.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Diagnose causes of electrical problems or failures to identify equipment and/or systems repair.
- Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide information for making decisions.
- Inspect electrical systems and their components to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs, and recommend preventive maintenance actions.
- Operate and use required tools and equipment skillfully and safely; assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatuses; make rough sketches; estimate cost, time, and materials of electrical work.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, isolate, and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments.
- Maintain, test, and repair electrical equipment for safety and efficiency; plan the layout and wiring of new or existing installations.
- Fabricate electrical parts; inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements, and compliance with applicable exterior and interior safety codes and regulations.
- Inspect related work performed by contractors; estimate cost, time, and materials for electrical projects; participate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop.
- Clean, maintain, and service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical load centers and distribution systems.
- Analyze electrical plant operational characteristics and make recommendations to correct deficiencies and respond safely and appropriately to emergencies.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License.
- Flexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operating environment).
- Experienced in and/or knowledgeable of traffic monitoring and control systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to operate and perform work in a bucket truck.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment, and systems used in the electrical trade.
Education:
- High School diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of field experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical components up to and including 480 VAC 3-phase systems.
