Automotive Service Technician

Overview

As an Automotive Service Technician at Wynne Ford in Hampton, VA, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.

• Perform quality repair and maintenance work that meets dealership and manufacturer standards
• Clearly write and communicate needed repairs/maintenance, and the parts and time needed to repair
• Repair broken or worn mechanical and technological components
• Maintain repair and service records
• Install equipment, components, and systems
• Test vehicles both before and after repair
• Repair electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures
• Other duties may be assigned according to expertise and certifications

• Previous experience as a service technician; A-B Level tech required
• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, A/C equipment, etc.
• Must provide own tools
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable DMV record required
