Job DescriptionCreate an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Achieve sales and profit goals and monitor all quality assurance standards. Direct and supervise all department functions while supporting day‑to‑day Beer/Wine/Spirits operations. Responsibilities- Promote trust and respect among associates.
- Communicate company, department, and job‑specific information to associates.
- Establish performance goals for the department and empower associates to meet or exceed targets.
- Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume throughout operating hours.
- Train and develop associates on job performance and participate in performance appraisals.
- Adhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
- Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
- Offer product samples in compliance with company guidelines and applicable laws to help customers discover new items.
- Inform customers of Beer/Wine/Spirit specials.
- Display a positive attitude.
- Develop and implement a department business plan to फल desired results.
- Create and execute sales promotions in partnership with store management.
- Inform and educate department associates about current, upcoming and special in‑store promotions, especially those affecting Beer/Wine/Spirits.
- Prepare and submit seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
- Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
- Assist store management in preparing the store/department budget and profit‑loss reviews, taking appropriate action on all financial reports.
- Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note any discrepancies.
- Schedule daily, weekly and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs.
- Train department associates on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions and notifying store management.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition and subtraction)
- Ability to handle stressful situations
